The phrase "Follow me" attributed to Jesus has resounded through centuries, often interpreted within the framework of religious doctrines.

For those who come from religious backgrounds, this commandment might carry a different weight than it does for the spiritually awakened soul.

As someone who's journeyed through the deconstruction of Christian beliefs, I encountered the tumultuous task of reconciling my understanding of Jesus within and beyond the religious context.

Initially grappling with uncertainties about Jesus as the "savior," my path led me to profound intuitive experiences and encounters with the spirit of Jesus, enlightening me about his deeper teachings during his time on Earth.

I've come to perceive Jesus as a profound spiritual guide, a "yogi" of his era.

His teachings, often distilled into simplistic yet profound messages in the Bible, consistently emphasized fundamental principles: meditation, stillness, love, childlike openness, belief, and seeking - all encapsulated by an overarching theme of love.

Contrary to conventional narratives, Jesus wasn't solely a healer, healing people he came in contact with; he was a teacher who empowered others to learn how to heal themselves.

His interactions with those seeking healing often posed the question, "Where is your faith?"

This invites the understanding that healing involved an active participation from the recipients, tapping into their innate ability to heal through an alignment with the energy Jesus embodied.

One of the most misunderstood phrases attributed to Jesus - "I am" - isn't a proclamation of sole divinity but an invitation to recognize our own divine essence.

Jesus wasn't demanding worship or exclusivity; instead, he was guiding humanity to realize their inherent connection to the divine, teaching that we are all part of the universal "I am."

The religious texts, as we know them today, might not entirely capture the essence of Jesus' life and teachings.

"Following Jesus" isn't about blind allegiance or idolatry; it's an invitation to awaken spiritually.

As our world undergoes a global awakening, discussions about achieving a "Christ Consciousness" are prevalent.

This awakening echoes the spiritual enlightenment Jesus embodied, urging us to perceive ourselves as the divine "I am."

In essence, "following Jesus" doesn't entail an external pursuit of making him our "God" or "Savor" but an internal journey towards self-realization, love, and embracing our innate power.

It's a transformative path that challenges our ego-driven human minds but holds the promise of profound self-discovery and spiritual connection.

The essence of "following Jesus" transcends religious confines; it beckons us towards a deeper understanding of ourselves, the boundless energy of love, and the untapped potential within, mirroring the journey Jesus embarked upon - a journey toward enlightenment and self-realization.
